Play Ball!
It may still “officially” be winter, but spring is in the air. Major League Baseball pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training in just a few days. Youngsters everywhere are breaking out the mitts and bats getting ready to Play Ball. If this is an annual ritual in your home , then your children play organized youth baseball.
As the parent of a budding super star, you know the expense and preparation that goes into youth baseball. As parents, you need to pay for all of the individual expenses on your own (a new mitt, new cleats, uniform expenses, etc.). But the team and the league you play in has huge expenses also. There are league fees, facility fees, coaching expenses, travel expenses, etc. These add up in a hurry.
Fundraising plays a big part in paying for these shared expenses. In fact, the portion that is not covered by fundraising is usually passed along to the parents, simply adding to the already staggering amount paid for the individual expenses. This is why so many leagues now have a dedicated “Fundraising Coordinator”, whose job is to make sure that fundraising gets the support it deserves.
Most leagues run several fundraisers. Some are profitable, some are not. Some are eagerly anticipated by the parents and kids, and some are very unpopular. For example, if you Google “Baseball Fundraising Ideas”, you find things like “Cookie Dough Sales”, “Lollipops” and “Magic Melt Wax Bars” (what the heck is that?!). Most kids are embarrassed to be associated with fundraisers like this.
In contrast, selling items with your League Logo, or Team Logo on them are very popular and not at all embarrassing. Your kids take pride in their team and would proudly sell custom car magnets and custom windshield decals. Not only that, they are going to insist that you put one on every car in your family.
Let our expert designers create a custom car magnet for your team. The design is free, and you are under no obligation to buy the magnets even after we’ve spent hours designing your magnet. You have nothing to lose! for more information, and to get started on your free design, just click here!
